t took a full year to renovate, but Dallas Kelly and her children are thoroughly pleased with their home in Tradition. The 3,283-square-
foot house was the 2012 St. Jude Dream Home and it’s now a dream come true for the Kellys. The winner, who never lived in the home, sold it to a couple, who lived in it until Kelly, a broker with Fidelis Realty Kelly Properties, bought it in 2020.
“I have always loved the exterior of the home,” Kelly says. “It has been one of my favorite homes in Tradition. My daughter and I would always talk about how beautiful it was when we drove by.”
Kelly’s son, Cole, 20, and daughter, Brooklyn, 17, along with “a spoiled rotten, miniature Australian labradoodle named Memphis” enjoy the home with her. “Cole’s passion is singing, so he
uses the third floor as his music room. Brooklyn will be attending MSU in the fall to begin her journey to pursue a career in architecture and interior design,” she said.
Surprisingly, the interior of the home wasn’t as striking as the outside, Kelly recalls, but she didn’t mind. “I knew what I could do with it. My daughter and I had so much fun doing this project together,” she said. “I didn’t move any walls or make structural changes, but the entire house received a complete facelift. It’s light and bright now.”
