COAST NOTE
ANEON MOON MURAL story by Victoria Snyder
s a healthcare accreditation coordinator, registered nurse, and a Navy veteran, Lucinda L’Enfant stays busy. However, she still manages to find the time to paint murals across the Coast.
“I paint murals, pianos... anything, really. My murals are usually so bright you need sunglasses to look at them,” she jokes.
L’Enfant recently completed her biggest mural to date outside of Neon Moon in Ocean Springs, measuring in at 15 feet by 25 feet.
Neon Moon and Lost Springs Brewing Company put out an open
call to artists, and L’Enfant responded quickly and enthusiastically.
The companies were so thrilled with her work that they even asked
her to do branding for Lost Springs Brewing Company, so she designed four label concepts for them to use in the
future. She is thrilled to have been able to bring folk art into mural form.
L’Enfant describes folk art as “art made for the people, by the people.
It is traditional and often is an expression of the community. Folk art gives off a warm feeling of home.”

The 34th annual Arbor Day Run/Walk/Roll will happen March 5 at Point Cadet Plaza in Biloxi. Registration and sign-in starts at 8 a.m.
Disability Connection began this event to advocate healthy lifestyles, provide information on disability support services, and encourage people with disabilities to partake in the experience of a race.
Due to the COVID pandemic, there will be two different options for the Arbor Day Run/Walk/Roll, just like last year. The first option is the normal run/walk/roll, happening on March 5th. The second option can be done by groups or individuals. All you have to do is run/walk/roll a minimum of 1/4 mile at a time and location that works for you.
All registration is through the Gulf Coast Running Club, and
you can register online, via the mail, or at the event. All participants get a t-shirt! For more information, you can visit Disability Connection’s website, Facebook page, or give them a call.
People of all ages and abilities are invited to join in!
