Visitors to the area who don’t often get fresh seafood are finding this a real treat. The crunch of the crust adds to the experience.
Another delicious offering we savored was the more traditional pepperoni and Italian sausage with the classic red sauce and lots of bubbling cheese.
The restaurant also features paninis baked-when-ordered, including the Peppe, the classic Italian on ciabatta bread with prosciutto, mozzarella and tomatoes; the Italian hero on French bread with mortadella, salami, ham and provolone; and the roasted porchetta (pork). Prepared salads include the Greek, caprese, romana
and the tortellini, which we enjoyed with its cheese pasta,
spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and prosciutto.
A real treat was the pasta
e faggioli soup: small pasta
and white beans in a smoky, pancetta-bacon broth. A cup of it is a great way to start the meal. The chicken Florentine, the chef’s soup of the day when we were there, was also delightful.
In Lounge Nocherie, guests can relax while sipping cappuccino or espresso, and indulging in sweet Italian-style hot chocolate, Irish coffee, blended beverages and more. The fresh-made pastries are wonderful and include oversized cookies, brownies, cinnamon rolls and muffins, along with cupcakes and petite fours.
