When the Bosarges purchased the home, there were many aspects they loved but some things they wanted to improve. That’s when they contacted Don Bowden of Bowden Architecture. With Bowden’s help, the two were able to make their dream home a reality.
“The home had some great bones, but it was dark with very few details and didn’t celebrate all of the surrounding natural light,” Bowden remarked. “Kim’s crisp and clean color palette paired with new reflective surfaces really did a lot to brighten the inside of the home.”
The textures throughout
the home are remarkable
and truly bring together the overall design of the home.
The natural stone countertops were hand selected by the Bosarges and are a clear focal point in each room. From the leathered quartzite on the two split kitchen islands to the ice blue marble and brown agate in the custom mahogany bar, no attention to detail was spared.
Upon entering the house, the foyer is grand enough to take your breath away. “Some of the most difficult to execute details are in this room, including the coffered ceiling and front door surround,” Bowden said. While the surround is one of the foyer’s stand-out elements, the glass inserts in the door itself really bring the room to life.
While the residence’s first floor is perfect for entertaining, the second and third stories
are for friends and family. The second floor has rooms for Brandon and Kim’s children, Madison, Mallory and Blake, as well as a living area and even a separate laundry area.
