ooking for a new and innovative way to spend your evening? Look no further than Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi’s
Robo Bar. This futuristic robotic
bar system was designed by Italian company MAKR SHAKR and is the world’s first award-winning robotic bar system. Not only that, but Robo Bar is the first robotic bar to open on the Gulf Coast and the second land- based robotic bar in the United States.
The bar itself is comprised of two robotic arms which can make up
to 120 drinks per hour. The robo “bartenders” are programed to know billions of drink combinations and can even make custom orders. With 140 different ingredients to choose from, the possibilities are endless.
The ordering experience is pretty neat and takes place at tablets stationed around the bar. Through
the customized app on the tablets, guests can order any of the Robo Bar’s specialty drinks or even create their own cocktail. Each drink allows for 14 “layers” or ingredient options, which can be combined to create anything imaginable.
Once orders are placed, guests can follow the progress of their drinks
on the four 92-inch LED screens
that display the current queue and ingredients list. One of the most exciting parts of the process is being able to watch as each drink is crafted. Surprisingly, the robotic bartenders mimic the actions of a real bartender while they muddle, stir, shake, strain and serve the perfect drinks.
“Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi strives to provide cutting-edge experiences within our gaming, dining, entertainment and nightlife offerings,” said Todd Raziano, general manager of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Biloxi. “When technological advances create compelling, cutting-edge customer experiences, we feel the need to offer this one-of-a-kind experience to our guests. There is nothing ‘ordinary’ about a visit to Hard Rock Biloxi, and there is certainly nothing ‘ordinary’ about Robo Bar.”
Robo Bar is located just outside of Hard Rock Cafe Biloxi near the main lobby, overlooking the pool and Mississippi Sound. The bar is open Monday through Thursday from
2 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 12 p.m. until 2 a.m. and
Sunday from
12 until 9 p.m.
