PEOPLE dedicated builder BUILDING A
Better Coast
story by Lynn Lofton photos courtesy of Elliott Homes
In2009, Brandon and Adrienne Elliott created Elliott Homes LLC, starting with three
custom homes and adding more to their portfolio each year. While they still build on individually owned lots, through hard work and determination, Elliott Homes now has several of its own communities and is projected to sell more than 140 homes in 2017.
Brandon Elliott caught the attention of the St. Jude Dream Home committee and in 2012 was selected to build the St. Jude Dream Home. The Charles, a gorgeous traditional style home in Tradition, was featured in several local magazines and won a Best in Mississippi Award. When a home builder
is awarded the dream home, the committee invites the team to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. This hospital visit left a lasting impression on Elliott and in 2015 he accepted the honor to build the Dream Home again without hesitation.
A record number of tickets were sold and The Zachary, named after a local St. Jude patient, was awarded the Best Dream Home in the country. After its success, in 2016, the committee issued a challenge to Elliott to build another home and exceed the previous year’s ticket sales. He met the challenge head on, motivated his team and had record breaking ticket sales again.
After several local builders went out of business, Elliott, serving as the President of the Home Builders Association of the Gulf Coast, declined to build the 2017 Dream Home. He chose to give another local builder the opportunity to receive recognition and let residents know local builders are going strong.
To help revive building on the beachfront, Elliott helped design and build two homes in the grand antebellum style that graced the landscape before Hurricane Katrina.

Quality of life is very important to Elliott, which shows in his commitment to help build the local economy. Local companies are used whenever possible in all business conducted by Elliott Homes. A marketing campaign was created to bring attention to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and all it has to offer.
Elliott receives many calls for smaller construction and remodeling projects and makes a point to refer them to the Home Builders Association to help other members build their businesses and reputations. “These are our friends and neighbors. When they’re successful, it’s a win for everyone in Mississippi,” he said.
The 22 people on staff at Elliott Homes attest to the many inspirational emails they receive from Brandon Elliott, including this excerpt from a
