Lynn Meadows Discovery Center is preparing to crank
up the tunes and jam into the 1980’s with its annual fundraiser, Boogie Night. The event takes place at the Discovery Center’s WINGS Performing Arts and Education Building on March 12, beginning at 7 p.m.
“Boogie Night will feature an awesome 80’s DJ playing old school favorites, a sweet silent auction, fabulous food and much more. Wear your best 80’s threads for your party picture with Big Top Photo Booth,” said Sonja Gillis, director of marketing and public relations. “Lynn Meadows Discovery Center has provided 17 years of learning and laughter for our local children, as well as visitors from around the globe.”
The Center looks forward to growing and changing as
it further commits to the mission of inspiring children, families and communities through interactive educational experiences and exploration.
Tickets start at $75 per person, $125 a couple, and reserved tables are available. All proceeds benefit the Lynn Meadows Discovery Center’s exhibits and programming.

Spring Arts Festival: Herb, Garden & Art set for March 12-13

Spring brings a variety of outdoor activities in Ocean Springs, including the Spring Arts Festival: Herb, Garden & Art, which will be March 12 and 13 in the downtown area. Festival times are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Sunday.
This festival is recognized as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society.
“It’s our first outdoor festival of the year; a great way to welcome Spring and have some fun,” said Cynthia Sutton, executive director of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce – Main Street – Tourism Bureau. “It also supports artists, vendors and downtown businesses, adding to the creative economy that is such an integral
part of Ocean Springs.” Visitors can expect plants,
herbs, flowers, yard art, paintings, pottery, seasonal ceramics, outdoor furniture, jewelry, colorful scarves and much more.
