A wedding without a cake just doesn’t feel like a wedding.
They’ve been a wedding staple for centuries and have gone through many changes. These special cakes have been more bread-like, then pie-like, and have now turned into the delicious cakes we know and love today.
Jennifer Mayfield, the owner of Sugar Tribe in Ocean Springs, is ready to help bring the dreams of happy couples to life in cake form.
Mayfield realized that baking was her calling eleven years ago when she made a cake replica of Drew Brees’ jersey for her nephew’s first birthday. After posting the
picture on Facebook, she was flooded with requests – and the rest is history. Baking
is her passion, and she loves being able to bring someone’s vision to life in an edible treat.
Mayfield loves working with engaged couples and urges them to choose a cake that makes them happy first and foremost – it is their big day!
Not only does Mayfield love to bake cakes – she also loves creating sweet treats that can double as wedding favors. You can visit her for custom cakes, “Boho jars” (her twist on cakes, cookies, or brownies in a jar with her incredible boho icing), brownies, cake pops, and more!
She loves to try new things and is willing to work with couples to turn their ideas into a delicious work of art.
