stone, but after seeing several opals that just “didn’t feel right,” Victoria suggested she consider a pink sapphire. Sara instantly fell in
love with the stones. Crosby explains, “Victoria was very familiar with the heartache and frustration we had with our original ring,
so she was dedicated to ensuring I got the perfect ring. She pointed out opals are soft stones, and although they make
gorgeous pieces, they can become damaged when someone wears them daily like I would with my engagement ring.” The team worked to create what Crosby describes as

Guard Serviceman Determined to Give His Love the Ring She Loved

baguettes that haloed the center stone with sparkling rays that mimicked the sunrise and reminded him of his Sara – bright and hopeful as the start of a new day.
Crosby was stunned by her custom designed engagement ring. It was perfect! Or so, they thought...Not long after receiving the ring, they discovered several
problems with the ring and were forced to return it. In March 2020, they asked Pav & Broome to replicate the dream ring and began the design
process with Victoria Stanley Kuehnlein and Vanessa Edwards. Crosby was set on using her favorite stone, re opal, for the center
