The couple has two small boys who often romp around the house, so their style is influenced by making sure there’s space for them to do art, play games, and where family and friends can hang out comfortably.
“I love the creativity that spurs from decorating on a budget; thinking outside the box with how to use something differently – for instance with the stones and driftwood that I have and using them as focal points,” Kristin said. “I also think less is more, so spend a little extra on one special thing in each room instead of lots of little things.”
She tries to abide by the rule of not buying more than two items from the same store per room. “Otherwise it will start to look like someone else’s point of view instead of being
