the Visitors Center. The bride’s cousin made a mad dash across the parking lot and upstairs to retrieve the ring while prayers for the union took place. Fortunately she was successful and the wedding went off without a hitch.
“Luckily no one noticed and I
didn’t find out until a few weeks after the wedding,” Booth laughed. “Once I found out, I realized that the officiant prayed as many times as he did because he was stalling! I was
in utter shock, but it was hilarious. Our videographer even caught the whole thing on camera and it’s in our wedding video. Every time I watch it I laugh.”
The Romanos had another mishap before their wedding day was over. Now married almost ten years
and with two children, Rowan and Walker, they still laugh about what happened after the wedding and reception. Since they were not leaving on their honeymoon until the next day, they – along with the wedding party, family and out-of-town guests — went to a local casino/hotel. The girls were sitting on one side of the bar and the boys on the opposite. “I was going around the end to get to the other side when I slipped down in

something on the floor. I had no idea what it was at first,” Romano said. “A friend tried to pick me up and he slipped down too.”
The ‘something on the floor’ was vomit where some unknown casino guest had been sick. “It was not even anyone in our group; it was horrible!” Romano says. “I had forgotten to pack a bag for this one night at the hotel and had to clean up the dress I was wearing as best I could. Still, we had a great time.”
Even with a few mishaps here and there, both weddings were perfect and will always be special to these couples.
