The Pass Christian home of Amy and Chuck Wood is even more beautiful during the holidays when every room is festively dressed. The couple has lived in their home 25 years, just a few doors down from where Chuck grew up.
It takes the Woods a week and a half
to decorate, beginning with many, many twinkling lights on the exterior along with green garlands and red bows. Poinsettias, bows and large candles frame the front door which opens into a welcoming scene. Chuck gets credit for the hard work required on the exterior. Straight ahead, the stair rail
is festooned with garland, gold bows and angels, and lights. The lovely tree matches with gold ornaments and clear lights. Overhead the chandelier is dressed with a green garland.
The formal dining room is resplendent with bright coral walls, greenery and silver and gold holiday accents.
Traditional Christmas red and green
are predominate although the family room mantel is resplendent in lights, fresh
greenery with paper whites and silver accents. The Wallace silver jingle bells are birthday gifts each year to Amy from the couple’s sons, Guy and Morey. “The lights are set to come on by the push of a button on my phone,” Amy points out.
