ROLO Pretzel Reindeer
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups coarsely crushed pretzels 3⁄4 cup melted oleo
3 tablespoons sugar
8 ounce package cream cheese 1 cup sugar
9 ounces Cool Whip
2 packages (3 ozs each) strawberry Jell-O
2 cups boiling water
2 packages (10 ozs each) frozen strawberries
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine pretzels, oleo, and 3 tablespoons of sugar in a 9”x13” pan and bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes, then cool. Mix cream cheese and 1
cup of sugar together well, fold in Cool Whip, then spread over cooled pretzels. Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water, then add frozen strawberries. Let set about 8 minutes, allowing strawberries to thaw. Pour on top of cream cheese mixture and allow to set.
INGREDIENTS:
40 small pretzels, divided
20 ROLOs
40 candy eyes
20 small round red candies, any variety
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees. Place 20 of the pretzels on a baking sheet lined with parchment foil and top each pretzel with a ROLO candy. Carefully cut the remaining pretzels in half to form antlers. Place the baking sheet with the pretzels and ROLOs in the oven and bake 3 minutes, or until the candies are softened. Remove
the baking sheet from the oven and add eyes, nose, and antlers to each reindeer. Work quickly before the chocolate cools and hardens. Allow the reindeer to cool completely before serving.
INGREDIENTS:
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal 3 tablespoons butter
10 1⁄2 ounces marshmallows Green food coloring
12 Miniature Reese’s Cups 1/3 cup M&M Minis
3 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons corn syrup
INSTRUCTIONS:
To help form the cone shape, use the foam that comes in a waffle cone pack and cut it to make a form. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until melted. Add enough food coloring to make the mixture dark green
(will lighten when cereal is added). Remove from heat and add Rice Krispies. Stir until cereal is well coated. Let set about 4 minutes. Butter your hands and form mixture into cone shapes. Place cones onto prepared pan. Allow to cool for several hours. Mix powdered sugar, milk and corn syrup in a bowl until smooth. Transfer to piping bag or zippered bag to pipe onto cookies. Pipe like a garland around each tree. Place M&M minis like ornaments onto the garland. Put a Reese’s upside down on pan. Pipe icing on it and place tree on top. Let set before serving.
