owner of Guice Offshore, was the campaign’s top fundraiser with $16,341. John Carter, Century 21 J. Carter & Company Real Estate and Development, took second place raising $10,531, and Averie Bush, athletic director for the Harrison County School District, placed third with donations of $9,022.
Their major fundraising activities included a coin drive at Our Lady
of Fatima Elementary School, Carter’s Champions Pink Dress Run, the Simply Pink Charity Ball and reaching out to friends, family and associates.
“We are grateful to Billy, John, Averie and all our Real Men Wear Pink participants for lending their voices and time to our cause,” said Liz Gaulke, community development manager for the American Cancer Society. “Not only did they wear pink every day in October, they raised awareness about breast cancer and made a huge commitment to raise funds to help save more lives.”
