The Mississippi Gulf Coast Marathon will be held December 7 through 9. Races include a marathon, half marathon, 5K, and kids marathon race program.
This year’s marathon will feature
a special guest: Des Linden, the first
American woman to win the Boston Marathon in more
than 30 years. Linden will be running one of the Saturday events as
well as congratulating the finishers of the
marathon and half marathon on Sunday.
Boston Marathon qualifiers will have a
special opportunity to meet her post-race at MGM Park.
“This year has been life changing,” Linden said.
“The Boston victory was a dream come true and has opened the door for me to meet so many amazing people across the country. I’m looking forward to heading to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and spending time with all the runners.”
New in 2018, the organization has added the Harrah’s Gulf Coast Beer Mile at The Blind Tiger to the schedule on Saturday at 3 p.m. On Sunday morning, both the marathon, which starts in
Pass Christian, and the half marathon, starting in Gulfport, will begin at 7 a.m. The marathon will end with the Coors Light Finish Festival at MGM Park when runners cross the finish line as early as 8:15 a.m. and will feature food and live music.

Miracle, a Christmas-themed cocktail bar, is making its way to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi through December 31. The pop- up was launched in New York in 2014 and has continued to spread holiday cheer across the globe ever since.
This year, Biloxi will be one
of only 80 locations around
the world to host Miracle. During this time, the Hard Rock will transform into a holiday wonderland serving seasonal drinks, such as the ‘Snowball Old Fashioned’ and ‘Run Run Rudolph.’
“The growth of Miracle and
the love that guests have for this concept has been completely
amazing,” says Miracle manager Joann Spiegel. “Our partners across the world continually overwhelm us with their creativity and festive good spirits, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for all of our locations in 2018.”
Miracle at Hard Rock Hotel
& Casino Biloxi will also join locations around the country in selling holiday mugs featured on the signature cocktail menu with 10 percent of all sales donated
to Action Against Hunger, a global humanitarian organization dedicated to providing impoverished communities
with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger.
