e Casquette Girls
From Biloxi’s earliest period, this mural by Niko honors the lives of young girls from France who came
to settle the “New World.” The Casquettes were French ladies sent to Biloxi in 1719 by the Catholic Church to marry French settlers, stabilize families and to encourage French family values in the colonies. In no small part, the French heritage that persists in our coastal culture is owed to these women!

When opening their restaurant
on the iconic Government Street
in downtown Ocean Springs, Rooftop Taco & Tequila Bar wanted to help bring beautiful public art to Government Street by hosting
a mural contest. The winning design, created by Karah Younger and painted by Robert Waldrop, brings together some of the many unforgettable ingredients of coastal living together into one beautiful work of art.

George E. Ohr Mural
The Mad Potter of Biloxi, George E. Ohr, takes center stage facing the very street named for his artistic accomplishments. Painted by Biloxi native Zach DePolo, this mural adds his iconic imagery to the side of a classic Coastal Mississippi restaurant: Mary Mahoney’s Old French House. If you are interested in learning more about Ohr and artistic legacy, be sure to visit the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi!

Bu ett Bridge
This small but significant bridge crossing over the murky waters
of Baptiste Bayou holds a special
place in the heart of many Coastal Mississippians – including Jimmy Buffett himself. The Grammy- nominated musician used to crab off the pier at this location as a child, and in 2015, Buffett returned to his birthplace of Pascagoula for a special ceremony naming the bridge in his honor.

Gulf Coast Strong
The World War II image of “Rosie the Riveter” is given new life and new purpose in this inspirational mural painted by Cali Rob. Completed at the onset of the COVID-19 crisis,
this work of art decorates the
side of a row of women-owned businesses in Biloxi, reminding all Coastal Mississippi residents of our resiliency in the face of hardship.

Art in the Open Installations
A trio of sculptures helps connect the art of Walter Anderson to the nature that so strongly inspired his original creations. Partnering with the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in Ocean Springs, Zachary Harris designed and created these sculptures that now reside at the Chanley Norwood House
in Ocean Springs, Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve in Moss Point and Pascagoula River
Audubon Center.
