them with a garlic butter and parmesan cheese. The knots come with marinara or Sarducci’s sauce, a spicy red sauce full of meat, parmesan cheese and a bit of flaked red pepper kick. You may want to drink it out of the bowl the sauce is so good.
Sarducci’s has a menu full of Italian favorites such as hand-rolled meatballs, spaghetti, house-made lasagna, as well as sandwiches and some additional salads. But its pizza selection is quite extensive.
We tried a Sarducci’s cheese pan pizza and one of its gourmet items, the jerk chicken and cranberry. The pan pizza was a sight to see. It comes on a slightly thick crust with cheese that has been browned and crisped on the top with hot cheese and pizza sauce in the middle. The jerk pizza came with roasted chicken tossed in Sarducci’s jerk seasoning with dried cranberries and fresh pineapple and jalapenos. It was spicy and sweet and unlike any pizza I have tried. It was one of the best pizzas I’ve had – on the Coast or anywhere. It’s that good.
And as good as all of that was, the real star came at the end. Although it’s going to be nearly impossible to save room for dessert at Sarducci’s, do yourself a favor and just wear some loose fitting pants – you don’t want to miss
the cannoli. I’ve had cannoli in Little Italy in Boston and

across the states and nothing compares to the cannoli at Sarducci’s, which is made from scratch. The filling is not the standard pastry cream variety. It has enough ricotta cheese in it to make it almost like a cheesecake. It is fantastic.
If you love great food served up by some of the nicest people on the Coast, then it’s worth the trip to C.A. Sarducci’s. Get the Sarducci’s salad, a gourmet individual pizza and try to save room for the cannoli. It’s a near- perfect meal.
