Gulf Coast Gator Ranch in Moss Point offers walking tours of their swamp lands, with opportunities to hand feed alligators. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, book a trip on one of their high-speed airboats and tour the ranch’s 105 acres bordering the Grand Bay Estuary where you’ll be treated to sights of alligators, birds, and other marine life.

Memorial Park
A trip to the park may seem like an obvious choice for a day out with family, but War Memorial Park is the kind of park that will make for a memorable day. Alongside the requisite playground for the kids and beautiful view of the beach, the park features a splash pad, walking track, Little Free Library, and gazebo.
War Memorial Park was built in 1945 to recognize citizens of Pass Christian who lost their lives in World War II. In addition to memorializing them, the park features plaques celebrating the bicentennial of the United States, monuments to those who lost their lives during Hurricanes Camille and Katrina, and a monument for the volunteers who helped the city following Katrina.

For those looking for a few thrills alongside their education, the Estuarine Education Center (EEC)
is the place to visit. Located on the Jackson County Campus of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, EEC o ers kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddle boarding; climbing walls; a ropes course; disc golf; and nature trails through the woods along Mary Walker Bayou. Their sta  includes certified and trained kayak instructors, so the center is an ideal outing for those who want to learn the sport.

Coastal Mississippi is filled with unique wildlife, much of which is on full display at the Pascagoula River Audubon Center. Outside, the center o ers bayou walkways and observation decks, as well as a nature play garden, bird watching, a butterfly garden, and a native plant botanical garden. They also o er kayak rentals, and swamp and river tours to explore the Pascagoula River.
