69th annual Charity Ball will take place on November 10 from 4 p.m. until midnight at The Warehouse in Gulfport. The fundraiser, themed A Hollywood Story, benefits the Junior Auxiliary and helps to finance their many projects targeting the children of West Harrison County.
“Our purpose is to encourage members to provide charitable services that are beneficial to the general public, particularly with an emphasis on children,” said Public Relations Chair Taylor Woolbright. “We believe that caring for a child today makes an important difference,
not only at that moment in a child’s life, but for the future.”
During the past year, Junior Auxiliary programs have directly impacted nearly 13,000 children and families in the community.
The black-tie event will feature
a silent auction, heavy hor d’oeuvres, and music by BandCamp. Tickets can be purchased online
at www.501auctions.com for
$50 a person or $100 per couple. Sponsorship opportunities are also available on the site.

Event Planning Covered
story by Lynn Lofton photo courtesy of The Guided Endeavor
It’s often said that doing something you love is the best job to have. That’s what prompted Andi Oustalet to open The Guided Endeavor, LLC — she loves and knows how to throw parties and events from small seated dinners to elaborate public events.
“It’s basically what I’ve done my entire life, mostly as a volunteer,”
she says. “After having many events, including a wedding, two Mardi Gras queens and a king, I just figured it’s time to do something to help others with events.”
Oustalet hopes people won’t be intimidated by the concept of an event planner, noting that no event is too small or too big and that she can work
with all budgets.
“I will meet with them, develop a
timeline and a list of calls they need to make, then deliver a folder to them. They will have everything in hand for a seamless event,” she said. “I’m also happy to make site visits if needed.”
In addition to a timeline, Oustalet can suggest venues, entertainment, themes, décor, favors and invitations, and help with menu development. “I enjoy seeing people have a great time and I’m excited about this business,” she added.
