out the burgers, po-boys and wraps. The Aloha burger was our favorite, with grilled pineapple, bacon, provolone cheese and a teriyaki glaze. The deep-fried mushrooms (fresh, not frozen) and the spicy wings were great too, but you might want to check out the loaded fries and shrimp poppers, as well.
The Dining Room really comes in to its own with steaks. Friday night is steak night and the grill just outside the Dining Room door gets fired up. Watch your Certified Angus Beef filet or rib-eye grilled just the way you want it. You can order
a 6, 8, or 12-ounce filet, or a 10, 12, 14, or even a 17-ounce rib-eye, and wait till you see the choice of toppings. There are six options, but we chose seafood mushroom, an amazing combination of shrimp, crawfish, and mushrooms cooked in a Creole Alfredo sauce. There are also some pretty amazing seafood options that Chef Koonce will be happy to grill for you.
Whether you’re looking for something to eat after a round of golf, a cozy place for a date night, or a night out with the family, the Dining Room at the Diamondhead Country club is going to be the right choice.
