Two years might not seem like a long time, but within that short time frame the company has outgrown its original building. “We didn’t anticipate the level of success we would achieve in such a short period of time,” said Joel R. Carter, Jr., principal broker. “It was time to own something rather than pay someone else’s bank note on a building. We needed some place to call home while building our business and continuing to grab market share.”
A building at 2408 14th Street in downtown Gulfport proved to be the perfect fit for J. Carter. Finding
the right place for their clients has always been
their ultimate goal, but finding the right place for themselves was quite the challenge. “At first it was very frustrating because everything we found either needed major construction, was overpriced or outside our budget,” said Carter. “We ended up being able to buy our building before it went on the market. We still had to do a major cosmetic renovation, but the finished product reflects our standards and level of service.”
The extra space has provided the company with some additional elbow room, including space for meetings and training. “We now have privacy with our clients with a new conference room,” Carter remarked. “Our new building mirrors our vision for our company and its reputation, which helps to build instant credibility when clients walk in. The location in downtown Gulfport also puts us within walking distance or a short car ride from most of our vendors.”
