he Pass Christian home of Brenda and Mike Wilburn has an easy going
coastal charm that’s reflective of the owners, which may seem odd since they’ve only lived in the area a year
and a half.
“We started coming for Cruisin’ the Coast in 2007 and fell in love with
the Coast’s laid-back atmosphere and closeness to the water,” Brenda recounts.
They relocated here full time from Memphis as soon as they could. Mike retired after 30 years with Federal Express and Brenda with Paramount Staffing although she works a few hours each week from home. They moved into their 2,850-square-foot home in February 2016.
From the front to the back, inside and out, the home has a soothing coastal color scheme and lots of decorative touches. There are soft blues and greens but enough wooden furniture to keep the palette grounded. Rich teak flooring is used throughout the living area with carpet in the bedrooms. Ten-foot ceilings add to the home’s spaciousness.
The mix of fun accessories with nostalgic and family pieces illustrate
the Wilburns’ love of family and history. Just off the foyer, the home office has collections, mementoes, medals and photos of the Wilburn men’s military service going back to the War Between the States. Not to be left out, there are photos of the airplanes that took spunky Brenda up to fulfill her dream of flying in an old barn-storming stunt plane, complete with rolls. The vintage Coca- Cola machine in the corner is just for kicks. >>
THIS SPACIOUS PASS CHRISTIAN HOME has commanding view off of the beautiful Gulf Coast.
