What is the purpose of a Chamber of Commerce? According to Adele Lyons, CEO of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, “Being a member of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce brings opportunities for connections.”
From networking with other
business professionals, to educational and professional development opportunities, to small business grants, to discount programs and cost savings, to over 190 events held annually, the Chamber is always working to make those person-to-person connections.
Everything the Coast Chamber
does and offers has roots in the words of the mission – Connect, Inform, Advocate and Develop. “With seven divisions within the Coast Chamber, our offerings are wide across the business community,” Lyons said.
“As the only accredited chamber in Mississippi, our policies, finances and programs have been reviewed so we know we are making a positive impact on our members.”
One of the Chamber’s most popular events is the Annual Meeting, held in February. “Members love this event because we have 600 members in the room so they are able to network, connect and learn what the Chamber is doing for them,” said Lyons.

Annual Meeting serves as a forum
to recognize leadership for their contributions and educate the community on previous year accomplishments and initiatives for the upcoming year. The Pat Santucci Spirit of the Coast Award will be presented to one recipient. The
award represents the outstanding and enduring contributions made by the candidate to improving the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
