A new nonstop flight out of the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport will soon be available, bringing the total nonstop destinations to six. Beginning February 15, 2020, Allegiant will offer its affordable flights to Nashville giving Gulfport-area travelers yet another low-cost destination to explore.
“We’re excited to offer Gulfport residents new travel options to one of the fastest growing destinations, steeped in music history – Nashville,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue.
The new seasonal flights will operate twice weekly between Nashville International Airport and Gulfport- Biloxi International Airport. With this addition, Allegiant will offer nonstop service to two destinations from Gulfport: Orlando and Nashville. Flight days, times and fares can be found at Allegiant.com.
“We are very pleased with the new air service

Boys & Girls Clubs Hancock County Unit
The Hancock County Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast is having a positive effect in the community by serving more
than 200 youth. It’s located in the renovated 33,000-square-foot Valena C. Jones Center in Bay St. Louis and is open after school and full days during holiday breaks and summer camps.
Since 1966, the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast has been a leader in youth development programming and advocacy efforts for young people from high-risk environments within Harrison and Hancock counties.
The Hancock County Unit Youth of the Year Laela Schenck said, “The Boys & Girls Clubs helped me grow from being a follower to a leader.”
Hancock Unit Board members recently hosted their signature fundraiser, A Taste of the Future, at the Bay St. Louis Community Hall to raise awareness and funds for the Unit.
Morgan Bogolin, communications director for the Boys & Girls Clubs, says club members of all units
are exposed to positive adults and role models, arts, culture, music, community events, athletics, S.T.E.A.M., computer technology, healthy habits, and service to others. “They’re encouraged to respect diversity and take on leadership roles. They commit to graduate from high school and prepare and plan for post secondary educational endeavors,” she added.
