OHR-O’KEEFE MUSEUM OF ART
The Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art (OOMA) in Biloxi, Mississippi, offers an exceptional pottery experience with state-of-the-art facilities. The pottery studio boasts 15 pottery wheels, three Skutt computerized electric kilns, a 30-cubic-foot gas kiln, two Raku kilns, a downdraft barrel kiln, slab roller and extruder, and over 30 studio glazes, providing ample resources for both beginners and advanced potters. Students can explore various techniques under the guidance of expert instructors. These classes
offer hands-on learning in a space dedicated to the legacy of the “Mad Potter of Biloxi,” George Ohr,
whose innovative spirit continues to inspire.
Beyond pottery, the museum features exhibitions that celebrate the unique artistry of George Ohr, as well as contemporary art that reflects the cultural richness of the Coast. The Ohr-O’Keefe Museum is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to immerse
