The Hancock County Library
System serves residents and visitors
through five locations in Bay St. Louis,
Waveland, Diamondhead, Kiln, and
Pearlington. Recognized as one of
Mississippi’s leading public library
systems, HCLS offers far more than
books, including free Wi-Fi, public
computers, meeting spaces, educational
programs, digital resources, and a
growing Library of Things collection
featuring items such as pickleball
paddles, sewing machines, ukuleles,
microscopes, oral history kits, and more.
The Library is also home to the Second
Line Bookstore and hosts some of the
Gulf Coast’s most popular cultural
events, including the Annual Holiday
Tree Celebration, HOMEGROWN: A
Storied Exchange Literary Festival,
FANFEST Comic Con, author visits,
workshops, and family programming
throughout the year.
