nickname, but a local historian captivated the chef with accounts of smuggling operations and fabled links to Al Capone that included
the name in several stories about the U.S. Federal Prohibition Era. From 1919-1933, "blind tiger" was the phrase used to describe illegal bars in the South that were free- flowing with glass jars of secretly distilled moonshine and shot glasses overflowing with bootlegged whiskey. During the era, visitors
to the Coast would often seek out speakeasies and secret-knock-on- the-door places by asking, “Where's the blind tiger?”
TBT is easier to find these days, situated on the beach across from Harrah's Casino with a few things the speakeasies of the past lacked

of the best views on the Coast, including remarkable sunset dining with unobstructed views of the Mississippi Sound. Pull up by boat
to the new dock on the West side of the restaurant and they’ll even throw your catch on their grill.
So, if you’re looking for a dog, kid, or boat-friendly kind of place to hang out on Biloxi Beach and you love freshly caught seafood, New Orleans Saints football, and tasty margaritas, The Blind Tiger is the perfect place for you.
And the best part is you can come just as you are, fresh from the beach, shopping bags in tow, or ready for
a night out in the beach city making memories.
