IP Casino distributes funds to area charities
BILOXI — IP Casino Resort Spa and its parent company, Boyd Gaming,
are dedicated to giving back to the communities in which they do business. Already this year, they have donated nearly $840,000 to local charities and organizations.
In determining nonprofit organizations to support, IP focuses its support in four key areas: community, health-and-human services, culture
and education. More than 30 local organizations, including Feed My Sheep, CASA and the Mental Health Association of South Mississippi, received a share of the property’s 2021 donations.
However, much of the money
is donated to the Bacot McCarty Foundation, which in turn distributes funds to a number of area charities. “Boyd Gaming and IP Casino Resort Spa have been our community partners for the past 11 years, donating millions of dollars to us to disburse into the
local community. The partnership has been historic and has had incalculable benefits all across
our region,” said Todd
Trenchard, executive director of the Bacot McCarty Foundation.
He continued, “Through IP, each year we have been able to benefit over 30 local agencies and issue scholarships to hundreds of students who are attaining higher education. From the YMCA to Special Olympics, Boys & Girls Clubs
to Ronald McDonald Charities, IP Casino has been the philanthropic leader in South Mississippi. We could never do
what we do without their generous support.”
