   Annual Golf Outing
Hard Rock Biloxi hosted its annual employee golf tournament in June. Each year, employees look forward to this friendly competition and spending the day together. The first-place team (above) included employees Tyrone Simonds and Brandon Rogers, and two friends, JC Cassidy and Darryl Warrick. Ward Benoit, Daniel Schatzman and Tony Polito came in second place, and the team of Jon Baker, George Rainey, John Breauz and friend Dennis Foley came in third place.
    Night Run
Several WaterView Casino Hotel team members participated in the recent 4th Annual Star Spangled Night Run in Vicksburg. Pictured are (from left) Nancy Lindsey, who placed first in her age group;
Robert Owens, who also placed first in his age group; and Ruth Funchess, who placed second in her age group. The 5K run/walk was hosted by the Southern Cultural Heritage Foundation.
  Play Ball
  Harrah’s Gulf Coast created a memorable experience for employees and their families at the ballpark recently when they had the chance to watch the Biloxi Shuckers baseball team in action. Additionally, Harrah’s had a tent set up for anyone interested in a career at the Biloxi resort. Those who applied for a job were offered free tickets to that night’s game.
   Beau Rivage helps with memorial for fallen Biloxi officer
BILOXI — eau Rivage, Saving A Hero’s Place and the Biloxi Police Department partnered to honor and create a lasting memorial for fallen officer Robert McKeithen. A 24-year Biloxi police officer, McKeithen died after being shot outside the city’s public safety center in May 2019.
Saving A Hero’s Place, a Texas- based nonprofit organization run
by police officers and families,
has a mission to honor fallen first responders by providing a permanent
place of reverence. The memorial
is in the form of a custom-built
chair known as an “honor chair.”
It promotes healing and peace for public safety organizations through the remembrance of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Since its inception in 2013, the organization has honored heroes
in 20 states. The organization presented its 171st honor chair in recognition of McKeithen at the Lopez Quave Biloxi Public Safety Center.
Beau Rivage and Biloxi Police Department officials were on hand at the dedication of the honor chair in memory of slain officer Robert McKeithen.
