Team members, team leaders named at Harlow’s
GREENVILLE — Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa recently named its Team Members and Team Leaders of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2021. Nominees and winners were those who went above and beyond normal expectations, said Harlow’s President and General Manager Roscoe Greene.
Sharona Gibbs, slot attendant, was named front-of-house Team Member
of the Quarter, and Roy Jenkins, cook, was named back-of-house Team Member of the Quarter. The Team Leaders
of the Quarter included Tina Amos, security shift supervisor, who received the front-of-house honors, and Teresa Tenhet, count room supervisor, who was
awarded for back-of-house. Employed at Harlow’s for four-and-
a-half years, Gibbs is a proven top-tier employee through her performance, productivity and dedication. She is highly respected throughout her department, and has worked through many challenges.
Jenkins, a Harlow’s employee for more than six years, is known for his lunch platters and breakfast entrees. Passionate about his career as a cook, he is innovative in creating new dishes for guests and displays a high level of consistency and professionalism in the food and beverage department.
Amos has been a security department
team member for more than a decade. Her work ethic and consistency recently earned her a promotion to shift supervisor, and she is a well-respected leader in the security department.
Tenhat was recognized for providing excellent service at the Greenville property, where she has worked for 13-and-a-half years. She uses her participative leadership skills to motivate her team and increase job satisfaction.
Every quarter Harlow’s team
members are nominated by their peers, supervisors or other department colleagues and leaders. Winners are recognized with a cash award, and their photo is displayed throughout the casino.

Happy Heroes
Riverwalk Casino Hotel recently named its Happy Heroes for the second quarter of the year. The Supervisor of the Quarter for the second quarter was also honored. Becky King, accounting generalist, and Donald Dillon, EVS attendant, received the accolades for April. For May, Marie Davis, dual-rate dealer, and Debra Phillips, security lead, received awards. And, Ritch Southard, IT technician, and Dionne Doyle, hotel front desk clerk, were the June Happy Heroes. Gail Percy, surveillance supervisor, was named Supervisor of the Quarter.

Employees of the Month lauded at Golden Nugget
BILOXI — Golden Nugget Biloxi recently named its STAR Employees of the Month for the second quarter of 2021. A luncheon was held to honor the nominees for their service and dedication.
The STAR Employee of the Month winners were Khang Nguyen, busperson, Lillie’s Asian Cuisine; Pamela Strate, player services representative, cage; and Rena Winkelhake, casino cleaner, EVS.
Kristi Jackson, slot shift manager, slots, was given the STAR Leader of the Quarter award.
Each STAR Employee of the Month received $300, plus $100 in resort credit and eight hours of paid time off. The Leader of the Quarter was awarded $500, plus $200 in resort credit, eight hours of paid time off and a reserved parking spot. Winners also received a trophy, an invitation to the annual banquet and are eligible for the Employee/Leadership of the Year award.
