New restaurants at casinos good for business

MISSISSIPPI — Casinos are known for offering a wide range of amenities to attract guests beyond their gaming floors. One of the primary reasons for offering non-gaming amenities is to provide a more well-rounded experience that can lead to
longer stays and increased
spending. Restaurants are
among the most important
added attractions enjoyed by
guests.
Several casinos throughout the state have recently remodeled restaurants or opened new eateries. In D’Iberville, Under
The Oak Cafe at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort received a $4 million makeover, which included a new look for the restaurant and a new menu. Now boasting a bistro feel, the cafe features decor of bright yellow, black
has an enhanced menu of Coastal- inspired dishes, a classic New Orleans cocktail menu, themed dinner nights and a weekend Champagne brunch featuring Southern standards and bottomless mimosas.
The restaurant’s decor is reminiscent
baked potatoes and fried chicken, along with chicken wings that can be tossed in one of the Boomin’ sauces. BT Grill is open daily starting at 11 a.m. Pho Boy and Stadium Sports Bar are open Wednesday through Sunday.

is also bar seating where guests
can watch TV and plenty of table seating letting guests take in the casino action and even enjoy the live entertainment
of a Southern outdoor experience. Complete with topiary statues, beach wood trellis walls and
a soaring skylight, the dining room is designed to emulate a fresh-garden patio. Guests are greeted by colorful bistro chairs at patterned tabletops, floral displays, and Haint blue walls, a shade common to Southern patio
ceilings and believed to ward away bad spirits and insects.
Salt & Ivy serves breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday, and then closes before reopening later in the day for dinner. Brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday.
Boomtown Casino Biloxi has added to its dining area, a restaurant row featuring sports bar favorites, Asian tastes and quick meals. Pho Boy Asian Fusion
has moved to the renovated location next to Stadium Sports Bar & Grill and newly opened is the BT Grill.

located in the hotel lobby, to the new Salt & Ivy, a Coastal Kitchen. The restaurant

WaterView Casino Hotel opened the Sandbar Grill & Cafe, transforming
