Convert digital currency to cash at Scarlet Pearl
D’IBERVILLE — Casino patrons at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D’Iberville can now convert digital currency into cash. Everi Payments Inc. has gone live with B4U Financial, a solution for the liquidity of crypto currencies at the casino resort.
Everi Payments Inc. is a subsidiary of Everi Holding’s Inc., which is a provider of casino gaming content and products, financial technology and player loyalty solutions.

Scarlet Pearl’s partnership with Everi dates back to the casino’s opening in 2015, with the installation of a full suite of financial and loyalty products and services, as well as electronic gaming machines.

is important for legislators to realize that casinos in the Magnolia State don’t operate in a vacuum. As noted in the AGA synopsis, the competitive landscape presents challenges that can negatively impact future performance.
Commercial casino operators face significant competition from properties in neighboring states. Mississippi casinos in the Tunica/Lula market compete directly with Arkansas’ Southland Casino for patrons from the Memphis area. Meanwhile, Mississippi Gulf Coast casinos compete with various casinos in Louisiana. While the ability of Mississippi casinos since 2018 to offer sports betting had given them a competitive edge, Louisiana casinos were able to launch sportsbook operations in November 2021, with statewide mobile sports wagering set to follow in early 2022.
Mississippi saw several bills to legalize online sports betting fail to gain traction in 2021, despite the threat of competition. A series of bills introduced in the House and Senate in early 2021 would have authorized commercial casinos to operate statewide online sports betting. Neither the House nor Senate legislation received a vote before the deadline to advance the bill out of committee.
