Treasure Bay honors
year’s best supervisors
and crewmembers
BILOXI — Treasure Bay announced the top crewmembers of 2021. Yoshi Walker, security officer, was named Crewmember of the Year and Patty Graham, Players Services supervisor, was awarded Supervisor of the Year. The announcement was made during a special luncheon in March honoring all their Crewmember of the Quarter winners.
“Yoshi is a great role model and mentor,” said John Dean, director of security. “He places his fellow crewmembers first and is always helping with training new hires. His solid work ethic is vital to our security operations. He is a great team player and in any situation it’s good to know that Yoshi has your back.”
“Patty truly is a teacher, mentor, and an example for everyone in the department,” said Matthew Ulm, hotel and Player Services manager. “Through her time with us, she developed a reputation as
a great problem solver and created a supporting culture on her shift. There is always a good vibe when Patty is there and the whole crew pulls together to get the job done no matter how busy we are. I would like to thank her for everything she brings to our team as a leader and look forward to working with her for many years to come.”
Nominees Armad Bailey, Skye Sullivan, Jamie Miller, Rose Green, Mucio Puga and Angela Matthews each received a special gift card. Both Walker and Graham received a $1,000 cash prize and an engraved trophy.
“All of these crewmembers embody our commitment to great guest service and serve as positive role models each and every day,” said COO Susan Varnes. “We are so proud of each one. They are the shining stars of our Treasure Bay family and key to our success.”

Rockers given top awards
BILOXI — Hard Rock celebrated Rocker Appreciate Day in February with the company presenting its
annual awards, including the top Rocker of the Year and Leader of the Year. Additionally, employees, known as Rockers, were treated to a full day of
fun with drawings and special meals.
At the awards ceremony, nearly a dozen Rockers were honored with three being named Rocker of the Year. In the food and beverage division, Ashley Campbell, beverage, was given the top honor, while Carabeth Phelan, human resources, was named Rocker of the Year in the hotel/ administration division
and Tamara Turk, Player’s Services, was honored in
the casino division.
Also receiving special awards were Patricia Monti, Player’s Services, Leader of the Year; Jayson Ladner, slots,
Bally’s Ownership Award;
Krista Mastroianni, player development, Take Time To Be Kind Award; Evelyn Holmes, housekeeping, All Is One Award; Florianna Brandon, room reservations, Save the Planet Award; Jacob Gentry, room reservations, Love All Serve
All Award; and Dixie Collins, front office, Brand Ambassador Award.
During the daylong celebration, employees were able to park in guest parking, wear jeans with a company- provided T-shirt and enjoy an upscale meal. There were also drawings for prizes, such as eight hours of PTO, cruises, gift cards and more.
