Helping In Many Ways
Bally’s Vicksburg donated use of its arena for two weeks in December to the area’s Salvation Army. The spacious arena served as the staging area where Angel Tree donations were sorted, packaged and wrapped. It was also the distribution site for local recipients and those from Rolling Fork, to come and pick up their gifts. Additionally, several Bally’s employees, including Carolyn Dorsey (left), donated to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree project.
Bikes For Youth
Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa provided bicycles for deserving and underprivileged youth in Greenville and surrounding communities. The toy drive was sponsored by Mayor Errick D. Simmons and Sen. Derrick Simmons of Simmons & Simmons.

Secret Santa
Treasure Bay partnered with the Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence
to purchase gifts for the families receiving assistance from the shelter. Crewmembers, pictured with the gifts, were generous with donations, including clothing, games, toys, bicycles, art and school supplies, and household items — delivered in time for Christmas. Joe Thornton, director of human resources, said this year was the property’s best year ever for donations to the families.
CASA Kids
Golden Nugget Biloxi partnered with Jackson County CASA for the ninth year to bring Christmas joy to 25 foster children. Employees purchased bicycles, toys, clothing and more to ensure that the holidays were extra special for the children.
Donation Challenge
Hollywood Gulf Coast team members participated in a Food Fight Donation Challenge Food Drive, donating nearly 300 pounds of food to the Hancock County Food Pantry. While the slot department collected the most food and was the winner of the challenge, the real winners were those served by the food pantry, which gave out the items to the local community through their Thanksgiving and holiday distribution events. Stephan Mackenzie (left), Hollywood security officer, and Sarah Ladner, dual property human resources business partner, helped the food pantry volunteer, Kevin, collect all the donations.
