Ameristar Cares
Ameristar Casino Hotel employees assisted staff at Good Shepherd Community Services during Christmas. Employees helped with various projects around their property, as well as read books to the children and sang Christmas carols.
Community Donations
Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa provided more than 30 bicycles for deserving and underprivileged youth in Greenville and surrounding communities. The toy drive was sponsored by Mayor Errick D. Simmons and Sen. Derrick Simmons of Simmons & Simmons. Additionally, the casino provided the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County with a donation of $3,200.
Turkey Donation
WaterView Casino Hotel donated turkeys to a number of groups throughout the Vicksburg community, including
the Knights of Columbus Vicksburg Assembly No. 558. The turkey deliveries were just in time for Thanksgiving. Charles Hahn, Knights of Columbus representative, accepted turkeys from WaterView General Manager Penny Bankston.
Holiday Dinners
Silver Slipper sponsored Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners at The King’s Kitchen
in Bay St. Louis. The Hancock
County resort provided the food and prepared more than 700 meals, serving traditional holiday favorites of turkey and gravy, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and cranberry sauce.

Assisting With Christmas
Bally’s Vicksburg donated $2,500 to several area agencies right before the holidays. Donations were given to the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, the United Way of West Central Mississippi, the Warren County Children’s Shelter
and Good Shepherd Community Center to be used for Christmas presents for children and senior citizens. Bally’s Compliance Manager Starling Murphy (left) and accounting clerk Felicia De’Shazer (right) present a check to a Good Shepherd representative.
Wish Lists
Hard Rock partnered with CASA of Harrison County this holiday season to fulfill the wish lists of 10 teenagers. Hard Rock team members were generous, donating and filling Santa bags for the children to open on Christmas morning.
Thanksgiving Help
Gold Strike Casino Resort partnered with the Tunica Sheriff’s Office and other casinos to provide turkeys for families in need on Thanksgiving. Hundreds of frozen turkeys were delivered. Gold Strike team members also helped hand out Thanksgiving meals to Tunica residents in need.
