Riverwalk brings meaning to Season of Giving
VICKSBURG — Things were a whole lot jollier in the greater Vicksburg area this past holiday season with Riverwalk Casino Hotel’s first Season of Giving donation event. The Vicksburg property started spreading holiday cheer in mid- November with turkey donations to local first responder groups.
In December, cash donations were given to 13 charitable organizations. Altogether, Riverwalk donated more than $72,000 in cash and turkeys.
Brock VanWye, director of marketing, said the Season of Giving event
would not have been possible without the generosity of Riverwalk guests. Throughout the year, guests raised funds for the event by contributing
their TITO tickets to the donation box located in the hotel lobby. Additional contributions were made via the Sharing is Caring promotion, where guests made $5 donations in exchange for $10 of
BonusPLAY.
“It’s an honor to help
support so many worthy organizations throughout our wonderful community during our Season of Giving donation event,” VanWye said. “We’re beyond appreciative to all of our guests for their incredible generosity over the past year. Their contributions will go a long way to giving many of those in the greater Vicksburg area a brighter holiday season — and a brighter future.”
