New restaurant opens in Golden Moon Casino
CHOCTAW — Pearl River Resort celebrated the launch of
a new restaurant. A Jan. 21 ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the grand opening of Mama ‘n’ Em Southern Table and Bar
at the resort’s Golden Moon Casino. Choctaw Chief Cyrus Ben, Director of Food and Beverage CJ Hencyk, and Choctaw Princess Elisah Jimmie helped to of cially welcome guests.
“It’s a casual and comfortable atmosphere, our restaurant staffers even wear blue jeans,” said Sonny Johnson, president and CEO of Pearl River Resort. “And the menu is very diverse; you’ll  nd fresh Gulf seafood like red sh and oysters as well as standard fare like fried chicken, dumplings, meatloaf, burgers, and thick cut bologna sandwiches. There’s truly something for everyone.”
Mama ‘n’ Em adds yet another dine-in/carry-out option for guests of Pearl River Resort. Southern charm best describes the atmosphere at the new eatery, which features décor that includes butcher paper table coverings, wooden barrels and even moonshine on display behind a fully stocked bar.
As with other restaurants at Pearl River Resort, Mama ‘n’ Em features a seating layout that is designed to allow for social distancing.
Pearl River Resort employees work in the kitchen at Mama ’n’ Em preparing favorites including fried chicken, meatloaf and red sh.
