Contributions & Donations
They Have Heart
Hard Rock partnered with the American Heart Association to raise money in September. A jean day was hosted allowing employees to pay to wear jeans, ice cream treats were sold in the employee dining room and chances were sold
to win prizes, including gift cards, event tickets, and PTO. Employees raised more than $1,100 and Hard Rock’s nonprofit organization, Rockin’ the Coast, donated money so Hard Rock could reach its goal of a $2,500 donation.
Museum Donation

Helping Shriners Help
Pearl River Resort’s Geyser Falls Water Theme Park presented
a check for $11,906 to the Hamasa Shriners in August. During Geyser Fall’s 20th anniversary
weekend, a portion of ticket sales was designated to support the mission of the local organization. The Hamasa Shriners, headquartered in Lauderdale County, will use the donation to continue their mission of transporting children in Mississippi to and from Shriners Hospitals for treatment. The money will also benefit families of those children by providing lodging and food. Crewmembers Coming Together
Treasure Bay crewmembers, including COO Susan Varnes (above, left), came together with family
and friends for the return of the in-person Heart Walk in Jones Park September. Crew- members raised almost $7,500 for the American Heart Association over several months of fundraising, including sales of the company Heart Walk T-shirt.
Gold Strike Gives Grants
Gold Strike executives presented grant checks to several nonprofits receiving a grant through the MGM Foundation. Through the grant program, Gold Strike donated $100,000 to 10
Mid-South nonprofit agencies in 2022, including Kindred Place (above), Memphis Child Advocacy Center and the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South.
