  Helping Out
Harrah’s Gulf Coast team members spent time in New Orleans recently
assisting sister property Harrah’s New Orleans. The New Orleans casino hotel had been adversely affected by Hurricane Ida and many employees were displaced. The Gulf Coast
housekeeping team helped get rooms ready so the hotel could open. Pictured are Dayneon Barrant, Genella Washington, Roheamon Johnson, Leah Masauding, Jennifer Trahan and Linh Nguyen.
     Run Baby Run
WaterView Casino Hotel in Vicksburg sponsored team members to participate in the recent inaugural Run Baby Run 5K walk/run event sponsored by the Center for Pregnancy Choices. Team members who participated included Robert Owens, Nancy Lindsey, Joyce Beacham, Varissa Brownell, Rosia Wilson, Kristy Brister, Michelle Collins and Ruth Funchess. Owens, Lindsey and Beacham placed first in their respective age groups, while Brownell and Wilson placed second in their age groups.

 Remember Me Thursday
Sam’s Town Casino Tunica employees volunteered at the Desoto Animal Shelter in September as part of Remember Me Thursday, an international social media awareness day that brings attention to the millions of adoptable pets waiting in shelters. The awareness day also provides honor to those dogs and cats who haven’t yet made it out. The employees helped with feeding the animals and cleaning cages for both dogs and cats. They also gave baths and walked dogs. Sam’s Town volunteers included (from left) Clarence Rucker, JoAnn Jernigan, Toni Burns, Garry Potts, Rick Rosenthal, Linda Williams and Steve Hall.
 Hurricane Relief Efforts
Hard Rock employees raised approximately $1,000 to assist with hurricane relief efforts over the summer months. Combined with a contribution from Hard Rock Biloxi’s nonprofit, Rockin’ the Coast, a total of $5,000 was donated to the Bayou Community Foundation to support Hurricane Ida relief efforts in Louisiana.
Community Partner
Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa gave $2,000 to Ward 4 Greenville City Council Member Lurann Thomas-Kingdom for the annual food drive. Harlow’s take pride in being a strong community partner. General Manager Roscoe Greene presented the check.
 Delivering Aid to Louisiana
Treasure Bay teamed up with local relief organizations to raise money and collect supplies to aid Hurricane Ida victims in Louisiana.
In addition to monetary donations, crewmembers collected personal hygiene products, food, first aid kits, pet food, cleaning supplies and more. Pallets of bottled water were also donated by Treasure Bay. Crewmembers Mike Cibene (right) and Curtis Waller delivered the supplies to a distribution center in Bourg, Louisiana. Beverage Manager Starlyn Calhoun organized the drive with help from the beverage department.
