Fitz Casino & Hotel hosts Fireworks Spectacular on Sunday, July 3.
Fireworks, birthday bash at Fitz
TUNICA — There’s a lot to celebrate in the coming weeks. First, Fitz Casino & Hotel is celebrating its 28th birthday this month with the 28th Birthday Celebration Hot Seat on Saturday, June 11, from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be 28 winners of $100 in Promo Cash, plus free party hats, free beads, free cupcakes and live entertainment; and everyone is invited.
Then, to celebrate our nation’s birthday, Fitz Casino hosts its Fireworks Spectacular – a free fireworks show on the Fitz lawn, Sunday, July 3, at 9 p.m. Food trucks will be on hand and Fitz is asking everyone to bring friends, family, lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy what promises to be a spectacular fireworks show that will light up the night sky.

Put Hollywood Cafe on list to places to see
TUNICA — Visitors should put The Hollywood Cafe on their list of places to visit. On the Mississippi Blues Trail, it is located at 1585 Old Commerce Road in Tunica Resorts (Robinsonville), Mississippi. The Hollywood Café, both at this site and its original location in Hollywood, Mississippi, earned fame as a Delta dining institution, but has also shared in the area’s musical history. Pianist Muriel Wilkins performed at the cafe for years, and she and The Hollywood were immortalized in the Marc Cohn hit song “Walking in Memphis.”
