Fitz opens new restaurant
TUNICA — Fitz Casino & Hotel welcomed a new culinary gem to its establishment with the grand opening of Dominick’s Food + Spirits, a tribute to the late Dominick “Scoots” Scudiero,
a revered figure in the hospitality industry. The February ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Vice President and General Manager Tony Scudiero and his family, marked a poignant moment for the Scudiero family and the casino community.
“This restaurant isn’t just about great
food; it’s about honoring my father’s
legacy,” remarked Tony Scudiero during
the ceremony. “My father loved four
things: family, food, people, and Las
Vegas. Dominick’s embodies his passion
for hospitality and his dedication to making everyone feel like family.”
Fitz Casino & Hotel General Manager Tony Scudiero, surrounded by family, cuts the ribbon to open a new restaurant that pays homage to his father, Dominick.
Named after Dominick Scudiero, known affectionately as “Scoots,” the restaurant, located upstairs just off the casino floor, features cherished family recipes, including their famous spaghetti sauce passed down through generations. Photographs of Dominick adorn the walls, alongside memorabilia from his storied career in hospitality spanning over six decades.
The menu at Dominick’s offers a blend of hearty American classics and Italian favorites.
“We’ve crafted a menu that reflects not only my father’s love for good food, but also his commitment to excellence,” said Scudiero. “Every dish tells a story, just as my father’s life did.”
