Feeding God’s People
Fitz Casino & Hotel donated $2,000 to the Feeding God’s People organization as part of its ongoing community support. Fitz General Manager Tony Scudiero presented the check to
a Feeding God’s People representative.
Lucky Beaulers
Beau Rivage employees McKenzie Richardson, Angie Roberts, Chanta’ Ramsey and Missy Dombroski took home a third-place trophy and a medal for Best Team Name, “Lucky Beaulers,” in the Kids’ Chance Mississippi bowling tournament held in Jackson, Mississippi. Funds raised from the tournament assist with scholarships and opportunities for the children of injured workers. Angie Roberts, director of risk management at Beau Rivage, serves as a board member of Kids Chance Mississippi.
Ameristar Casino Hotel made several donations during the holiday season. The River City Rescue Mission received $1,500, while Haven House Family Shelter and Vicksburg Humane Society (left) each received $1,000 to help further their mission of
helping those in need in the Vicksburg area. (Above) Ameristar also donated enough Thanksgiving food to feed six ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families who struggle to make ends meet each month and are unable to afford the basics of housing.
Caring For Pets
Silver Slipper Casino Hotel employees donated a variety of pet supplies recently to the Hancock County Animal Shelter. Director of Sales & Marketing Kendra McArthur (right) delivered the items, including dog and cat food, kitty litter, toys, treats and cleaning supplies, to shelter staff while looking on are Lucky and Mia, both available for adoption.

Purple Bag Project

Gulf Coast packed bags for The Purple Bag Project,
an initiative across PENN gaming properties to send non-perishable goods and hygiene items to active, female soldiers who are deployed
during the holiday season. The bags also include a thank you note for the soldiers. Through the Purple Bag Project, launched in 2010, more than a million bags have been donated to the troops.
Play For Change
Gold Strike partnered with the Hospitality Hub in Memphis as part of the quarterly Play for Change program. The property collected $10,000 during November and December to support the Hub’s mission of providing resources and shelter to individuals experiencing homelessness. The Hospitality Hub offers emergency shelter, case management and employment assistance, helping people transition from crisis to stability and independence.
