BRAND STANDARDS AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The TMCF brand stands for commitment to integrity. As a commitment to our integrity, TMCF has developed very strict standards to maintain impartiality when selecting scholarship recipients to protect the confidentiality of our applicants, govern the release of all research data and control the use of our brand. TMCF has invested countless resources and years in developing a stellar reputation both nationally and internationally. Each team member must be ever vigilant in protecting our brand and services.
The protection of confidential or proprietary business information and TMCF’s intellectual property – our trade secrets, research and the products we have copyrighted and trademarked (intellectual property) – is vital to the interest and continued success of TMCF. All team members, as a condition of employment, will be required to sign an employment addendum agreement as referenced in the initial offer letter, covering the protection of our intellectual property. This agreement continues in effect even after termination of employment. Further, the discussion or disclosure of confidential information is prohibited. Each team member must participate in the protection of this information and as such, are to report all violations or suspected abuses to the human resources department.
TMCF’s intellectual property will be protected from unauthorized use, change, destruction and disclosure, whether intentional or unintentional. Each team member understands it is his or her individual duty to refrain from using,
either directly or indirectly, any such information for any purpose not directly related to TMCF business activities, or disseminate or disclose any confidential information to any person or TMCF team member, consultant or agent of TMCF any time during or after his or her employment with TMCF, without the express written consent of the human resources department or general counsel.
Team members who improperly use or disclose intellectual property, trade secrets or confidential information may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment and possible legal action, even if they do not actually benefit, monetarily or otherwise, from the disclosed information.
