Dr. Caplis earned his Doctorate
of Podiatric Medicine with honors from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago. He completed a highly intense three year foot and ankle surgical residency in Chicago where he served as Chief Podiatric Surgery Resident. He has treated participants at athletic events such as the Chicago Marathon, performed foot and ankle surgery on
former NFL players and traveled to San Salvador, El Salvador on a medical mission offering free conservative and surgical treatment. During his 17 year career he has practiced in Chicago,
the Greater New Orleans area, and now owns and leads Foot Specialists of South Mississippi. Dr. Caplis is a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine.
