The Ocean Springs facility is the five-year flagship 24-Hour Storage on Bienville Road. The Biloxi location on Popp’s Ferry Road quickly followed and the newest site is at Seaway Road in Gulfport.
Porter explained all three facilities feature full-service, climate-controlled premium storage spaces that regulate the environment, preventing fluctuations in temperature and humidity. “Climate control is necessary for a reason,” Porter said. “Especially here in the South. You don’t want to open your storage unit and find mildew on all of your stuff.”
The units range in sizes that can accommodate smaller miscellaneous needs such as seasonal decorations like Christmas or Mardi Gras and go up to the scope of the entire contents of a four-bedroom home.
“But we can go up to any size you want,” he said. “We just keep adding more units. If you get a 10 by 10 but find out you need a 10 by 20, we’ll just give you the one right next to it. If you need 10 by 30, we’ll give you one more. We will accommodate what anyone needs.”
The units are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week
so clients can add or remove items at their convenience. Customers can also buy packing supplies and choose from a fleet of U-Haul rentals to easily move and store items. The U-Haul rentals range from trailers to vans and trucks with pick- ups and returns any time, day or night, with 24-hour access.
“We are a one-stop shop to move in or move out,” he said. “When you get ready to pack your house up and you need
boxes and tape, or other packing stuff, we’ve got it all. We tell people to buy them by the bundle and we’ll take back the ones you don’t use. And the U-Hauls just make everything easier when moving a lot of stuff.”
The Ocean Springs facility is the largest with a little more than 900 storage units followed by Biloxi with a little more than 600 and Gulfport with about 500. Gulfport also offers large indoor storage for items like boats and motorhomes while Biloxi and Ocean Springs have outdoor storage areas for those items.
Renting a storage unit of any size or a variety of U-Hauls
can be conveniently done online, and office hours at all three locations are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
