About This Issue
From main streets, chambers, and downtowns to businesses large and small, what makes the Coast economy thrive? That’s what Coastal Commerce is all about!
This special section is a celebration of the many thriving businesses, communities, main streets, and chambers that are the lifeblood of our community, not just professionally, but personally as well as sponsors of local events and charitable causes across the Coast. From beach monitoring and seafood labeling to what’s new and notable on scales big and small, this section is all about the many innovations and developments taking place in South Mississippi.
Of course, every issue of South Mississippi Living includes our tried and true sections, such as Coast Notes, Dining, Home, Shopping, Healthy Living, and our monthly Calendar of Events.
As a foodie, one of my favorite sections is
always Dining. This month, our dining columnist served up a an equally yummy and kid-friendly dish: Loaded Tater Balls. Also in this section, we reviewed Sizzle & Salt, one of the newest offerings at Harrah’s Gulf Coast, and Coastal Bowls, a personal favorite of mine and a must-try for fellow fruit lovers.
Closing out this issue, Johnny Fayard, Jr., president and owner of John Fayard Moving & Warehousing, shares his thoughts on Coastal Commerce—it’s all about movement: of goods, services, people, and opportunity. We couldn’t agree more.
