About This Issue
Our August issue is all about what makes
the Coast economy thrive. From main streets, chambers, and downtowns to businesses large and small, these organizations are the lifeblood of our community.
Our Coastal Commerce special is a celebration
of the many businesses and local organizations that come together as one Coast, all for a common goal. In this section, you’ll hear about the innovations and developments that have been made in 2026,
as well as where the Coast is headed. Take a deep dive into our “blue economy,” find out what’s new in the casino industry, and learn about some of
the amazing institutions that make up the ever- changing tapestry of the Gulf Coast.
On the Cover of this issue are our friends (and neighbors) at F.E.B.! Even though their office is right across the street from ours, I had no idea what all went on inside of that massive warehouse. And boy, was I impressed! Everything is so organized and well-run, and by the sweetest family you’ll ever meet. Thanks for hosting us, and for trusting us to tell your story!
Of course, every issue of South Mississippi Living includes our tried and true sections, such as Coast Notes, Dining, Home, Shopping, Healthy Living, and our monthly Calendar of Events.
In this month’s Dining section you’ll discover some of our favorite eats! Our Dining Duo, Carlin and Chris Duncan, took on Neighbor’s Tap & Table and Tavi’s Salumeria this month and did the hard investigative work of trying out these yummy coastal installations for us! Having enjoyed both places myself, I would definitely agree with Carlin’s takes—both are Gulf Coast standouts!
