For 70 years Luckies Furniture & Bedding Ware- house in Biloxi has been one of the Coast’s premier businesses. They opened their doors in 1954 and have been meeting the home furnishings and bed- ding needs of the community and putting customer service first ever since. Luckies continues to serve customers in Biloxi, Gulfport, Ocean Springs, Van- cleave, Long Beach, Wiggins, Lucedale, Pascagoula, Diamondhead, Hattiesburg, and Moss Point with low prices on furniture and mattress products.
Amber Guess, sales manager and buyer, will be leading the 70th celebration. She’s well aware of what customers want having grown up in the busi- ness, and she says most everyone working at the business did too.
“Our customers are the heart of our business and helping them is what I like best,” she said. “I’m
proud of the success our team here at Luckies has had. We work hard every day to make sure our customers are happy. We continue to offer the best furniture buying experience and customer service on the Gulf Coast.”
The advice she would give young female entrepre- neurs is to “believe in yourself, take risks, and have fun in what you do.”
Guess also feels it’s important to support other woman-owned businesses because they bring value to society along with economic and social benefits. “Plus, it helps promote work-family balance,” she added.
Thinking of her favorite things to do on the Coast, she said, “We all love a good sunset, but also the culinary and art scene the Coast has to offer.”
