Though Mississippi temperatures continue to sizzle, September ushers in fall colors, textures, and fabrics, or as my Mama would say, “Time for dark cottons.” What she meant is that as the end
of summer and beginning of fall merge, fabrics must remain lightweight to accommodate the lingering heat, but incorporate darker colors that signal a change of season and a preview of cooler temps to come. This season, the favored color is brown.
