The one-of-a-kind fashion event that’s as sensational as a six-concert Eras Tour is back and this year’s theme has a Swiftie vibe.
Renaissance the Runway Bejeweled Swiftie Edition is slated for
September 26 at IP Casino Resort Spa’s Studio B. Doors open at 6 p.m. and
the sparkling fundraiser will benefit The Bacot Foundation of South Mississippi, which helps dozens of community charitable organizations, especially those with youth programs. The enchanting night is presented by IP Casino Resort Spa, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, the Butch Oustalet Foundation, and South Mississippi Living magazine.
The whole stage will shimmer and shine with around 20 local boutiques and shops styling about 65 community members and more than 25 of those Taylor Swift-inspired fashionistas will be children.
“It’s going to be more kid-centric this year,” said Todd Trenchard, executive director of the Bacot Foundation. “We plan to have a lot of kids in this one, and raising money for youth programs is a big part of what we focus on.”
Last year’s event raised more than $200,000 through a live auction that featured a pair of Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets for the October show at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. This year’s event will feature a live auction with Taylor Swift memorabilia.
Trenchard said the fashion event has grown tremendously since its inaugural show in 2016 and he hopes this year’s Renaissance the Runway will surpass the previous fundraisers.
The show is expected to draw about 400 people and promises to be a dazzling fashion experience, all for a good cause. Trenchard was tight-lipped but said he had a few surprises up his sleeve for the event.
So don’t be an anti-hero and get ready to shake off that checkbook and have the most enchanting night of your life for some worthy causes. Friendship bracelets are optional.
