Who or what inspired you to pursue your current career?
I have been working with my dad in business since I was five. Even then, I said “This is what I want to do when I get older.” I still work with him now in hopes of one day continuing his legacy.
What’s something interesting about you that not many people know?
I am actually the bumblebee on the commercial for Bay Pest Control.
I have been doing it since I was 5 years old. Now I’m in college in black and gold cheering on the golden eagles and represented our state this year as Miss Mississippi Collegiate! And yes, I’m still the bumblebee on TV!
What moment from your life made the biggest impact on your career?
One of our chemicals was actually labeled to disinfect and kill COVID-19, which allowed us to be more than just a pest control company. We could help others stay safe from the virus.

Shelby Stringfellow always wanted to own her own clothing store, but it wasn’t until she met Ryan Taylor, the other owner of Fish Boutique, that it actually became a reality.
“Owning his own store had always been a dream of his and we were determined to make it a reality for us both,” said Stringfellow. “It was important to each of us to open a brick and mortar store in a community where we could put roots down. Owning Fish Boutique in Pascagoula, and soon Hurley, has been a dream come true. I will forever be grateful to Ryan, my family and friends, and our community that has continued to support us.”
Stringfellow says she loves being able to interact with her customers and meet new people daily. Outside of work, she can often be found on the water, whether it be in a boat or on the beach, trying local restaurants, and attending local events.
